Limp Bizkit Reportedly Joins Cash Money

Veteran rap/rock act Limp Bizkit has been confirmed as the latest signees to Cash Money Records. Lil Wayne revealed that Fred Durst & Co. had joined the label in an interview with Kissing After Dark and that a certain R&B singer may also be joining the fold.

“Every other day I hear about somebody new signed to Cash Money,” Wayne explained. “For example, the other day I just found out that Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money. So they’re signing everybody. Every body’s getting a chance.”

As far as that R&B singer? Wayne says nothing is set in stone, but she could be confirmed soon.

“I don’t want to step across any boundaries but I think we’re working with Ashanti right now,” he says.

Nicki Minaj Isn’t ‘Selling Out?’

Nicki Minaj Isn't 'Selling Out?'

Nicki Minaj has addressed the cries of ‘sellout’ from some hip hop fans. In an interview with Hot 97, Nicki says that she’s not some puppet pandering to anyone else’s tastes but her own, and that she has a firm grip on where she wants to go career-wise.

“I would hope that people know at this point that I’m smart enough to know what I’m doing all the time. But I guess they still kind of waiver. I always intended on putting out something urban after ‘Starships,’ because I knew ‘Starships’ was a monster,” she explained. “Maybe it would be a problem if I couldn’t deliver records like ‘Roman Reloaded,’ but I can. I write my own lyrics. Once again, I write my own lyrics. So it’s never a problem. Whatever I feel, I can write, I can create it. So I’m good. I think people sometimes get blown away by the magnitude of the pop stuff, because the pop stuff, it reaches everywhere and then I feel like my hip-hop fans or hip-hop culture starts getting a little bit afraid that I’m going to leave. But this is who I am. I’m not going to change – I’m just adding on to my brand. And if you don’t understand that, then it’s probably why you don’t travel and you don’t see the world and I probably can’t even have a conversation with you anymore.”

New Music: “Turn Up The Music Remix” Chris Brown x Rihanna 2012

#NewMusic: “Cake” – Rihanna (ft. Chris Brown) 2012

Chris Brown and Rihanna are back together, musically speaking.

Two songs featuring the singers hit the Internet on Monday. Brown sings on the remix of Rihanna’s sexually charged song “Birthday Cake,” and she’s on the remix of his upbeat tune “Turn Up the Music.” Brown tweeted a link to the new version of “Turn Up the Music” on Monday, and Rihanna later retweeted it. She also tweeted about the remix for “Birthday Cake.”

The two singers first collaborated musically in 2007 on the remix to her monster hit “Umbrella.”

Brown also tweeted “HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN” to Rihanna, who turned 24 on Monday.

A representative for Rihanna said she had no comment. An email seeking comment from Brown’s representatives went unreturned Monday.

In My Opinion: This whole going against the grain thing is great. Not supporting the wrong of Chris Brown, but how can we say that we are son and daughters of God and we can’t learn to forgive and move on. Both of these individuals are at the height of their career so of where they left off., and I believe they wanted to pick back up and continue what they started. This isn’t about the media, this is about two great artist doing WHAT THEY WANT TO DO!. We can’t forget “Artist are people too”.  If you don’t agree with it, don’t support it, but if you are a lover of music how can you not love these two. I Don’t think Riri Should forget, but I’m glad she forgave.

What are your feelings on the new collaboration?

Should there be a video with the two of them for the remixes?
